SCHLUMBERGER IDS 10000 Plus Final Test Equipment is a comprehensive test system designed for the verification, validation, and debugging of complex integrated circuits (ICs). The unit combines the latest in-circuit testing (ICT) technology with next-generation boundary-scan test methodologies to provide the highest possible test coverage. The machine is comprised of a mainframe and up to four small sub-frame firmware modules, plus double-sided rotating probe boards for interfacing with the targeted IC. It is capable of testing a wide variety of ICs, such as standard cell logic, memories, and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). A large variety of test applications, including fault detection and isolation, functional test, and burn-in, are supported. The mainframe includes a controller and programmable hardware which runs on real-time operating systems with flexible user-defined test sequences. The tool's 30-position transition boards, high-speed processor, and low-voltage pulse generator enable a high degree of accuracy and performance during test execution. In addition, a range of optional I/O cards is available, further increasing the functionality of the asset. The printer, hard drive, and other peripherals enable the model to be integrated into any laboratory, production, or quality assurance environment. The equipment can be operated either stand-alone or in a computer network, with numerous options such as modem, internet, and RS-232 interfaces.
