TERADYNE UltraFlex is a next-generation final test equipment designed to increase throughput, maximize system utilization and reduce total cost of test (TCOT). TERADYNE ULTRA FLEX unit is a scalable, modular solution that offers a wide range of features and options to suit the needs of any production environment. With its unique hybrid architecture, it provides the benefits of both automated test equipment (ATE) and manual test systems. UltraFlex machine is easily customizable for any application requirement, with a variety of test interfaces, configured at the time of installation to maximize overall tool performance. A large selection of test stations is available to meet a variety of application needs from box-level to complex board-level test. In addition, the asset features an open architecture and software framework that the customer can configure to their exact specifications. ULTRA FLEX model provides a comprehensive automated test solution, with automated test sequencing and capabilities to support test time optimization, throughput execution, and test coverage. The equipment also offers a number of diagnostic and data capture capabilities to enable a complete fault information package. Other features include an auto-initialization algorithm, test program trace-ability, non-volatile user program and device library storage, calibration updates, and off-site remote support. The system also offers a wide range of test resources, including built-in power supplies, custom multiplexers, and a complete range of mechanical fixtures, probes and test heads. In addition, the unit includes industry-standard digital and analog input/output and high speed communications interfaces, capable of communicating with the majority of test and measurement instruments. TERADYNE UltraFlex machine also features a comprehensive package of on-board CAMAC and GPIB controllers.
