COHU / MULTITEST MT 9510 is a versatile high-speed, multi-site test handler designed for automated test, assembly and inspection applications. It features automated handling of components using a robotic arm and optical sensors, in combination with a equipment controller and interface options for personal computers. The handler offers a high speed of up to 500 picks per hour and supports various components, such as QFPs, SOs, PLCCs and TSOPs. It feature an externally removable cart which allows for tooling components to be exchanged quickly. The handler is capable of operating in four distinct configurations: un-collated, manual, rotating and synchronous. In un-collated mode, the robotics arm can pick and place components on test fixtures such as tweezers, burn-in boards, manual load boards and intermediate load boards. In manual mode, the arm can be set to move components in specific paths determined by the operator. Rotating mode allows the arm to switch between multiple test sites with large or complex components. The synchronous mode allows the handler to simultaneously test multiple sites while managing time and temperature control. The handler's control system offers a user-friendly interface and the operator can customize test procedures with the programmable unit controller. Its embedded unit consists of PIC and ARM processors which can support on-line and off-line applications for testing and assembly operations. The handler includes scalable software for visual interface and a customizable database to support test sequences, part types and historical data. COHU MT 9510 offers programmable pre-test/post-test functions such as bare-die orientation and IC orientation. It features an automatic transconductance measurement machine which can measure the performance of a component quickly and accurately. The handler offers high flexibility, reliablility and performance in a variety of test and assembly applications.
