MULTITEST MT 8305L is a handler designed for enhanced testing of semiconductor devices such as integrated circuits (IC). It is used in a variety of production and research applications to ensure correct operation of designed circuits. The device uses an advanced, multi-function, multi-site test handler technology to execute multiple tests in parallel on a single device, while allowing complete access to all pin sites. The device is of open architecture and is capable of automatically loading and unloading devices, with support provided for leaded as well as leadless components. MT 8305L is equipped with motion controls and can handle devices with up to 24 sites using a 70 cm2fixture. The handler also features advanced self-calibration and inspection capabilities, including automated defect recognition for hot, cold and manual soldering. MULTITEST MT 8305L also includes a serial communications card that can be used for remote control and monitoring. On-board test development software includes a comprehensive set of testing functions, such as programmable pulse, contact monitor, input/output monitor and analog signal display functions, as well as data acquisition, precision measurement, and vision system capabilities. MT 8305L is designed to work in tandem with other multisite test systems, such as probers and other handlers. The device can be integrated into existing test systems using proprietary automation functions, allowing for accurate and efficient automated testing across multiple sites.
