SEIKO / EPSON NS 8160W is a high speed automated label, tag, and ticket handler for industrial applications. The unit is designed for use with any thermal transfer printer, and makes smooth tight label rolls out of printed labels or tags. With its smart handling of tag, ticket and label materials, SEIKO NS 8160W ensures precision delivery every time. The unit features a range of user friendly features, including a quick start design and an intuitive control panel with icons for simple commands. EPSON NS 8160W has a user configurable roll diameter, ribbon width, and label length for precise handling with maximum flexibility. The adjustable ribbon diameter also allows for easier printing on different media and greater print clarity. The automated high-speed label, tag, and ticket handler comprises of a durable frame and a large PTFE-coated plate to support the opera- tion. This plate is coated with a non-stick substance to reduce friction for clean, efficient handling of the materials. NS 8160W also has a vacuum feeder for reliable removal and collection of the materials, ensuring threading, tension and movement of the ribbon within the machine. SEIKO / EPSON NS 8160W is equipped with an optical linear transducer, capable of sensing edge locations at up to ten times higher accuracy than a conventional photocell. Combined with an advanced stepper motor drive system, this ensures user friendly and reliable automatic operation. For noise reduction purposes, the unit also features a minimised noise design, and the low air pressure method reduces friction losses and keeps pressure levels to a minimum during operation. SEIKO NS 8160W's safety and convenience features include a built-in light barrier for separation of hazardous materials and a manual repair switch. Finally, EPSON NS 8160W has adjustable web guides to provide accurate repeatable label registration throughout the entire operation.
