AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT / VELOCITY 11 PlateLoc is a lab equipment and accessory designed to improve efficiency in the handling of lab plates used in a variety of laboratory settings. HP PlateLoc combines the speed of robotic automation with the accuracy of manual picking and placing of lab plates, with a capacity of up to 11 lab plates at a time. AGILENT PlateLoc's design is composed of several components in order to successfully handle lab plates. VELOCITY 11 PlateLoc's machine base comprises of a compact sheet movement equipment which allows a variety of lab plates to be placed securely on the main rotor. The rotor allows the plates to be transferred to a secondary loading or unloading location and also supports the mounted plates. Supporting the main rotor is the main plate deck, the plate pickup arm, and the connection of the plates concentration system, a mechanical arm connected to the base. The plate pickup arm supports the upper decks, allowing the arms to move over and onto the lower decks. This enables the plates to be picked up and put down in a precise and steady manner. Also included on the base is the plate concentration unit, which houses a robotic arm that is programmed to place and move the plates in a certain direction. As the plate concentration machine moves along, it will close the plates around its arm in a circular motion creating a tight fit. The lab plates are then loaded onto HEWLETT-PACKARD PlateLoc from an external conveyor or from a machine tool. Once the plates are loaded onto PlateLoc, its motors will move the plates along the rails of the plate concentration asset to their designated locations. The plates are then placed into their designated racks, where they can be taken out later for inspection and analysis. To ensure accuracy and efficiency of KEYSIGHT PlateLoc, several safety features have been included. The plate concentration model contains several sensors which detect and prevent collisions between plates, as well as prevent the plates from being transferred too quickly. This ensures that the plates will not be damaged during the transport process. Additionally, AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT / VELOCITY 11 PlateLoc includes two-stage cleaning and sterilization processes which eliminate the risk of cross contamination of lab plates.
