ZEISS Axio Scan.Z1 is a multi-functional light microscope-based imaging system designed for advanced imaging applications in tissue research and diagnostics. The Axio Scan.Z1 offers a wide range of imaging capabilities and an easy-to-use interface. The Axio Scan.Z1 has an integrated scanning platform which enables fast, high-resolution digital imaging of large samples and objects. It features a versatile XY scanning stage, 23 cm x 23 cm, that is suitable for rapid, multiplex-imaging of samples up to twelve slides and other specimens up to 24 cm in length. The stage offers sample height measurement, total integration and software control of XY stage movements, and automated slide load-unload capability. The XY scanning stage also allows for precise, non-destructive tissue sectioning at submicron level resolution with a motorized knife drive system, and an optional step motor for automated tissue sectioning. The system is compatible with a wide range of optics and other accessories. Specialized multichannel fluorescence objectives and filter sets, polarization filter cubes and wheel, and EPI filter cubes are among the range of optional accessories. Automated filter wheel exchange and automated focus management enhance user convenience. The Axio Scan.Z1 also has a powerful Windows-based imaging application, ZEN imaging software and ZEN 2 Blue for fast, accurate image acquisition and processing. ZEN2 Blue helps to guide users through imaging and data analysis processes with easy and intuitive controls. The software offers advanced features such as z-stacking and multi-channel imaging with integrated image stitching. In addition to its imaging abilities, the Axio Scan.Z1 is also capable of performing in-vitro and in-vivo fluorescence confocal and other specialized microscopy techniques. With its integrated imaging software and support for advanced accessories, it is the perfect platform for multiplex imaging studies and highly accurate diagnostics.
