ESCO LA2-6A2 fume hood is a laminar flow hood that has been designed to deliver safe and reliable containment of hazardous vapors and particles produced through chemical processes. This fume hood has been built with a highly reliable and robust horizontal laminar airflow equipment, allowing for the safe and efficient capture and containment of fumes and vapors generated from the handling of hazardous and potentially hazardous chemicals. The laminar flow system is capable of operating at six standard air speeds, spanning from 0.3 to 0.6 m/s. Operating at a velocity more rapid than 0.6 m/s may result in turbulence and diminished efficiency. LA2-6A2 utilizes two EN 12469-compliant HEPA filters that are designed to retain 99.997% of particles larger than 0.03 μm. The hood is equipped with a multi-stage filtration unit for even higher levels of containment. A pre-filter, located in the hood's rear supply plenum, captures all particles larger than 0.5 μm.
