MICROZONE V6-PP-36-FX is a laminar flow and fume hood designed specifically to protect laboratory personnel from hazardous vapors or particles emanating from a variety of materials or processes. It combines superior construction with advanced engineering principles to provide superior protection. The main body of the hood is constructed of high-quality steel and finished with an epoxy powder coating and sealed in with a glazing sealant. An electrically operated blower located at the front of the hood provides a low velocity, vertical laminar airflow pattern of clean air into the work area. Internal and external baffles are used at the front and rear of the hood to ensure that the laminar flow pattern is maintained and to reduce flow reversal. The hood features a full-view, tempered safety glass sash which rises and lowers on two stainless steel tracks. The sash is designed with a height of 18in from the top of the work surface, a width of 36in and a removable bottom panel that can be secured by two clips. By doing this, the operator is only exposed to a minimal amount of hazardous particles and vapor, thus providing maximum protection. The control features of the Micronzone V6-PP-36-FX include a digital flow meter and a unique system of baffles to achieve superior uniformity in the whole face velocity of the hood. An external graphical LCD display provides an easy to read readout, while 10 preset positions allow the user to pre-program the settings as needed. The LCD display shows both face velocity measurements as well as air volume measurements, which can be monitored at the control set. A motor disconnect switch is also provided to turn the blower off when the hood is not in use. The hood also includes an electro-statically applied powder coating on its internal surfaces, providing superior durability. An alarm system and filter access door are also included for maintenance and replacement when required.
