NUAIRE NU-425-600 is a laminar flow fume hood that provides personnel and product protection from hazardous vapors, gas, and particulates within the immediate work environment. It is particularly suitable for use in applications that require protection from low-level contamination as well as protection from volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The 600-series laminar flow fume hood units consist of a raised laminar flow inner liner that is sandwiched between two acid-proof stainless steel outer shells. This creates an airtight enclosure that prevents the contamination transfer to the operating environment. An adjustable air velocity nozzle creates an air velocity between 0.4m/s and 0.37m/s. Air velocities of up to 0.4m/s ensure that 99.997% of airborne contaminants are removed from the work area. NU-425-600 also features a reverse-flow plenum design. This system takes contaminated air from the fume hood, passes it through a vertical separation system and a set of pre-filters, and delivers it back into the ambient air outside the hood. This unique air filtration system reduces the risk of operators being exposed to the contaminated air and particles. The unit also includes a built-in fan to help regulate the airflow within the fume hood. This fan can be set to either exhausted or recirculated air, according to the user's preference. NUAIRE NU-425-600 also includes an external electrical control box, allowing the user to control the various operating parameters for the hood. The user is also able to adjust the air velocity and select certain operating modes, such as air recirculation, exhaust and standby. NU-425-600 laminar flow fume hood provides a safe and efficient method for protecting personnel and products from hazardous materials. It is designed to operate with minimal closure leakage, which can be further reduced by adjusting the fan speed and plenum flow rate. By controlling the airflow in and out of the hood, the unit is able to meet all safety requirements and keep the size of containment area to a minimum.
