ESI 5335 XI is a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 picosecond laser system produced by ESI (Electro Scientific Industries) Laser. It is a passively mode-locked laser operating at 535 nm in the green visible spectrum with a repetition rate of 2.53 MHz. This laser produces pulsewidths of 8 picoseconds (1x10-12 seconds) and has a nominal output power of 2 watts at the laser head. ESI 5335XI is suitable for a variety of scientific and industrial applications, such as micro machining, precision marking, wafer trimming, and microscopy. Its small footprint and high repetition rate makes it an ideal choice for high-speed imaging or material removal processes. 5335 XI utilizes a diode pumped solid-state laser (DPSS) technology with a Nd:YVO4 gain crystal. A diode pumped Nd:YVO4 laser consists of a continually operating multiline laser diode that pumps the laser gain medium. The gain medium is a laser material rod, such as Nd:YVO4, located in the center of the laser cavity which is optically excited by the laser diode. The resulting laser emission of 5335XI is 535 nm in the visible green spectrum. ESI 5335 XI has an external cavity length of 1 m and includes a birefringent crystal mirror along with a wedge for compensating the group velocity of the laser pulse. The external cavity contains alignment optics and an acousto-optic modulator (AOM) for controlling the laser intensity and energy output. ESI 5335XI laser is integrated with a fan cooled heat sink and is controllable with a monitor panel for displaying diagnostic information such as changing the laser parameters, remotely controlling the intensity of the laser and diagnosing laser pulses. The laser also includes a software controlled servo which ensures accurate and long life performance. In summary, 5335 XI is a passively mode-locked laser system operating at 535 nm in the visible green spectrum with an output power of 2 watts. This laser is suitable for a variety of scientific and industrial applications, such as micro machining, precision marking, wafer trimming and microscopy and is integrated with a fan cooled heat sink and controllable with a monitor panel. It is an efficient and versatile laser system that can be used in numerous applications.
