ESI 5390-02 is a solid state, Nd:YAG laser, with a wavelength of 1064 nm and a maximum pulse energy of 5.1 mJ. It features a very low thermal lensing and is widely used in surgical and industrial applications. The laser system consists of a pulsed laser head, an electronic control unit, a compact power supply unit, a display module, a safety interface and a computer interface. The pulsed laser head is constructed with a Nd:YAG crystal and two ASE (Auxiliary Stimulated Emission) rods which produce a highly stable and repeatable output. These components are enclosed in a metal housing, which helps to protect them from harsh environments.
