ESI 9850 is a medical laser equipment produced by Electro-Surgical Instruments, Inc. (ESI). It is capable of providing therapeutic level laser energy to target tissue while providing control and precision of the procedure. The unit is powered by a 135W solid-state laser source and features a unique hand-held optical fiber delivery machine which is equipped with an integrated fiber-tip temperature monitoring tool. The laser energy of ESI 9850 is delivered through a high intensity hand-held laser fiber delivery asset, which is affixed to the distal end of the endoscope. This model also has an integrated safety feature that automatically shuts off the laser when the operating handle is released.
