NORCOM 2020-12 is a state-of-the-art, long-range hydrocarbon and refrigerant leak detector designed to identify leaks while minimizing false alarms. It features advanced detection technologies such as gravimetric measurement and quadrupole resonance spectroscopy. The device is designed to detect organic compound leaks of up to 10-6 mbar-l/s within a single sweep radius of up to 12 feet. Gravimetric measurement technology, also known as the Force Balance Method (FBM), uses a series of sensors to measure the mass and flow rate of leaking compounds in order to identify them. The sensors have adjustable sensitivity that allows them to detect extremely small mass concentrations. The quadrupole resonance spectroscopy operates on the principle of utilizing high frequency microwave energy to detect leaking hydrocarbons and refrigerants by the characteristic 'smell' they produce when present in the environment. The energy resonates within a region to excite the molecules of the leaking compounds which can then be detected by a proprietary algorithm and associated software. 2020-12 features an ergonomic design that is lightweight yet robust. An intuitive interface provides easy operation and a clear display. The device is temperature-resistant and waterproof and is backed by a two-year manufacturer's warranty. NORCOM 2020-12 is an ideal solution for detection of indoor leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, oil and gas processing systems, pipelines, railway tankers, storage tanks, mobile tanks, and any other potential leak sites. With its ability to quickly locate gas leaks using advanced technologies, it is the ideal tool for the safe and efficient monitoring of gas systems.
