FINN / PRIMA POWER Platino 2040 is a modern and versatile machine tool for a wide range of operations. It is equipped with a powerful spindle, high rapid traverse rate, plus a large working envelope and roomy table to support larger components and provide higher accuracy machining. The 2040 features a 20,000rpm spindle and 30kW power supply, ceramic tool measuring and ceramic spindle bearings for higher speed and accuracy that is typically needed in precision machining operations. It also features a direct drive rotary table, measuring 1000mm diameter, plus a generous X-Y travel of 1200 x 1000mm, allowing the machinist to handle larger components with ease. A main feature of the 2040 is its advanced Control Unit. It features a powerful, yet simple to use Prima CNC software platform, allowing for the setting and execution of CNC programs quickly and accurately. The user interface has been designed to be user friendly with intuitive controls, while providing advanced features such as conversational programming, parameter memory and real-time graphics display. The 2040 also provides the machinist with a wide range of spindle powers, speeds, and feed-rates. It offers five speed control options with minimum and maximum rpm settings of 50-12,000, 20-20,000, and even up to 24,000rpm. It is also equipped with a static pressure system, providing high accuracy machining of parts with both 3D and curved surfaces. The machine is equipped with safety features such as automatic air shut off, overtravel safety shut off, and an integrated safety system. The 2040 also features a wide range of advanced tools.
