GILDEMEISTER CTX 400 is an advanced machine tool manufactured for high precision applications. It is a powerful, high speed, high performance platform that is designed to tackle the most demanding machining tasks including drilling, boring, milling, tapping and reaming operations. CTX 400 uses a b-axis C-axis driven main spindle for its drilling, tapping, boring and facing operations. This spindle is powered by a Siemens Sinumerik 840D CNC controller, and its rotational speed is adjustable from 6000 RPM to 65,000 RPM with an accuracy to 0.001 RPM. The spindle, mounted on precision bearing sets and driven by twin high torque ballscrews, produces excellent overcut and minimum RPM runout to ensure a smooth machining operation. GILDEMEISTER CTX 400 is equipped with a linear B-axis that can rotate from -110 deg to +110 deg in a miter fashion with an accuracy to 0.001 deg. This provides you with an increased level of part manipulation for maximum versatility and flexibility. The also comes equipped with a C-axis tilting table that provides 0 to 360 deg rotation with an accuracy to 0.001. This feature makes it easy to process most 3-axis parts in a more productive fashion. CTX 400 has a high speed speed programmable tool magazine that can store up to 72 tools. This magazine has been tested to handle tools up to 6.7 kg in weight and is designed to work with a variety of cutter types such as drills, taps, end mills and reamers. The change time is as fast as 7.8 seconds allowing you to quickly and easily switch tools for optimization of production operations. GILDEMEISTER CTX 400 is designed to reduce cycle times with its high-accuracy precision machining operations. It features an extended X-axis travel range and an 800 mm Z-axis with plus or minus 300 mm clearance for deep drilling and close-to-wall milling operations. The CNC controller has an advanced probing system for probing features, edges, centers, tooling geometries and other specialized workpieces. Combined with optional features such as collision avoidance, repeatability to 2 microns and a high accuracy vision system, CTX 400 is one of the most advanced machining platforms available for high precision part production.
