MARKEM U1455 & U1455 PM is a thermal ink marking machine designed to efficiently mark and code products with permanent, high-quality markings. The U1455 is suitable for wider applications and higher volumes of production, while the U1455 PM is designed for smaller marks, or where space is limited. Both units use a powerful, hot-melt wax-to-ink printing process, which makes yield-rich coding possible while providing excellent printer and start up times. U1455 & U1455 PM use a thermal ink jet technology, in which a controlled jet of hot melts wax-based ink is forced through a heated nozzle onto the product being coded. The inks and wax materials used in the machine are non-toxic, and do not require any ventilation systems to be used. The inks and waxes come in a variety of colors, and are formulated to resist chemical solvents and harsh environments. Ink and waxes are also available with high temperature and/or abrasion resistance. MARKEM U1455 & U1455 PM are capable of printing up to 10 lines of text, logos, and/or bar code and variable data on a single product. The ink is applied in a continuous, continuous pattern for faster and more consistent coding jobs, and the machine has the ability to adjust print speed and resolution for a more customized print result. The printer's font selection includes all major bar code, alpha-numeric, custom, and other special fonts.
