KARL SUSS / MICROTEC MA 1006 is a mask aligner most commonly used for contact exposure lithography of submicron substrates and specific integrated circuit (IC) applications. This mask aligner offers a wide range of alignment accuracy and exposure range, from 10 µm (0.00004") resolution and 196 mm (7.7") process size, with full 8-inch wafers possible. MICROTEC MA 1006 is designed for parallel exposure lithography and contains two independent, fixed scanning stages and two independently controlled, programmable exposure stages. The scanning stages are combined with a self-contained shutter, automated heat switch, feeder arm and integrated degausser. The automated heat switch allows the machine to operate between a high and low temperature range, while the integrated degausser ensures maximum exposures over a range of substrates. The exposure stages feature a precision stepper motor drive and programmable exposure time, while the feeder arm allows the machine to be quickly set up and run. KARL SUSS MA-1006 also comes with a number of specialized features, such as a photocell that enables it to detect the substrate's exposure position and a bright field detector that allows for accurate alignment with the mask. Additionally, the machine is capable of running multiple operating systems, and less complex software is available for optimization of mask setup and exposure. KARL SUSS MA 1006 is a high-precision device, capable of delivering high resolution and repeatable results. It features an advanced image processing and control system that allows it to deliver highly accurate results. This control system includes a state-of-the-art temperature monitor and control, power supply and environmental monitoring, precision alignment system, and contact exposure. This enables MA-1006 to provide the highest levels of accuracy and throughput for a wide range of lithographic applications.
