KARL SUSS / MICROTEC MJB-3 is a state-of-the-art mask and reticle aligner used to precisely align substrates for photolithography. This advanced equipment makes use of an imaging computer with a multisensor head to detect and actuate the alignment between two substrates. MICROTEC MJB3 can achieve differential slit measurements to within 15nm, allowing for virtually perfect alignment in nanometer-scale designs. The machine is designed to work with a variety of substrate sizes, ranging from 6 inch to 12 inch square pieces. A vacuum chuck system holds the parts securely while a CCD camera monitors their position throughout the alignment process. For enhanced accuracy and resolution, the imaging unit utilizes patented, ultra-precise Fine Align technology. To detect and achieve alignment, KARL SUSS MJB 3 employs a specialized head with four corner edge sensors, four top-referencing sensors, and four edge-referencing sensors. This array of sensors, combined with high resolution optics, allows for fast alignment at high accuracy. KARL SUSS / MICROTEC MJB3 also features an intuitive graphical user interface that allows engineers to easily view and adjust parameters related to the job. This includes features such as sophisticated image analysis, image capture and labeling, real-time auto-tuning, and usage logging. Additionally, the machine tracks and stores user-defined parameters and device history, allowing for easy recall and rerun of successful jobs. Overall, KARL SUSS / MICROTEC MJB 3 is an incredibly advanced and accurate masking and reticle aligner, capable of providing high resolution alignment for even the most complicated photolithography projects.
