AMAT UVision 7 employs a unique combination of dual & linear 2D mosaicking scan algorithms to provide the highest degree of repeatability and accuracy in large area measurements. The machine's multi-led, state-of-the-art optical sub-systems provide up to 10x the optical power of conventional systems, while its customizable light sources allow for illumination control up to 288 nm for the full suite of defect types. APPLIED MATERIALS UVision 7 features a spectrally invariant back-side illumination mode for 3D-type structures that allows for high-resolution imaging and inspection of extreme structures. Its advanced noise detection & reduction technology suppress any background noise thus improving the detection of weak or hidden defects. UVision 7 also detects wide ranges of defects such as CDU, pits, ridges, scratches, residues, fragments, and breaks. Its automated calibration & self-check functions provide the repeatability and accuracy required for defect detection. The tool comes with integrated software options such as scratch suppression, automatic qualification/classification, and defect clustering. AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS UVision 7 has a detection sensitivity down to 3.2 nm, a high resolution of up to 25nm/pixel and a range of up to 16 micrometers. The asset features depth-of-focus adjustment to ensure that high resolution imaging remains consistent even in cases of local topography variation. Moreover, it offers multiple comparison capabilities such as same-die and between-die for more accurate detection across huge datasets. AMAT UVision 7 also supports a wide range of surface and substrate material including corrugated, fine-grained, and on-axis and off-axis substrates. It is built for high-performance reliability and offers a wide range of integration options such as industry-standard test interfaces, intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), job & pattern creation tools, and intuitive out-of-the-box software devices.
