NANOMETRICS / BIO-RAD / ACCENT Quaestor Q7 is a leading edge mask & wafer inspection equipment designed for cost-effective process control, yield management, and defect detection in semiconductor mask and wafer manufacturing. The system utilizes advanced optical techniques to detect and analyze defects on the surface of masks and wafers, allowing process engineers to quickly identify and correct issues that could impede production and yield. The Q7 unit utilizes a monolithic optical machine consisting of four distinct subsystems: illumination, imaging, optics, and detection. This tool is designed to achieve optical resolution beyond the Exabits, providing a distinct advantage over traditional imaging systems. The fiber-optic-based illumination asset allows for light uniformity across the full scan of the mask or wafer. The imaging subsystem provides high-definition imaging capabilities without the blur or distortion of traditional optical systems, accurately capturing even the smallest of defects. The Q7 optics model operates in a linear, or diverging geometry, providing higher accuracy and a larger field of view for precise defect detection and measurement.
