LEICA REICHERT Nomarski is a high-performance optical microscope designed to observe surface samples with an extremely high level of detail. Its advanced optics and ergonomic design make it an excellent choice for a wide range of imaging applications. Nomarski system utilizes a combination of simple microscope optics and a prism to produce its unique image. This includes a long working distance infinity objective lens and a centerable condenser lens that focuses light into the objective. A shear waveplate works in combination with the prism to split the light, producing two new beams. One of the beams is circular and provides vivid colors and sharpness while the other is linearly polarized and produces contrast. LEICA REICHERT Nomarski microscope has a large working distance of 140mm and a magnifying range from 20x to 500x. The sub-stage is designed with a high numerical aperture (NA) to capture the maximum amount of light and produce bright, detailed images. To observe samples, the microscope has a versatile polarizing slider that can rotate the image to a polarized state for enhanced contrast. In addition, the microscope is equipped with condenser iris control, backward-optics illumination for greater control over the illumination for viewing, low-position coaxial focus, and halogen incident light sources. Furthermore, the turret-nosepiece mounting allows for easy access of the objectives without having to turn the entire nosepiece. Plus, built-in filters give higher contrast and selective absorption of light. Nomarski microscope includes advanced image processing capabilities, providing users with better resolution, sharper edges, and enhanced chromatic correction. It also includes a built-in 2.8" LCD monitor and USB 2.0 port for easy image capture, save, and playback. Finally, LEICA REICHERT Nomarski comes with an array of accessories such as: sample preparation supplies to improve sample acquisition and transfer, camera-tubes for different applications, filters, and digital imaging.
