NIKON LV 150A microscope is an all-purpose research microscope with a modular design, designed for routine live cell imaging and high power fluorescence microscopy. It features a selection of up to four separate optical heads and motorized components, allowing it to meet a variety of research needs. The main components consist of a motorized nosepiece for quick and convenient switching between objectives, an upper stage bracket that opens and closes automatically for easy access to model objects, a high numerical aperture condenser for improved image quality, and a high N.A. 0.8 EPI-fluorescence objective. It is driven by a motorized stage with a resolution of 2.5µm. LV 150A is equipped with a variety of light sources for imaging in both brightfield and fluorescence mode - an arc lamp transmission source, a high light output short arc white LED brightfield source, an EPI-fluorescence fluorescence light source, an open LED Excitation fluorescence source and a 20 W Quad Dichroic Fluorescence source. NIKON LV 150A microscope also provides a selection of color corrected optics, and triple fluorescence filter sets including DAPI, Yellow-Green, and Red. In addition, its digital opto-digital interface lets users easily record images and perform real-time image analysis. LV 150A is equipped with a 5 segment motorized zoom lens that allows for a 7.4 to 83.5 mag. zoom range, and uses a motorized focus drive system with a top speed of 0.2µm/s to aid with specimen observation. It also features QuickPix, which enables users to review small-resolution images quickly while abstaining from capturing high-resolution images. It features an 8 M pixel color CMOS chip that is perfect for a wide range of applications and provides high resolution imaging. NIKON LV 150A features an integrated light meter—in addition to the auto-ranging and manual brightness control capabilities—allowing users to quickly and accurately set the brightness of the fluorescent light source. Additionally, its built-in exposure timer ensures longer exposures are handled correctly. LV 150A includes an ergonomic design, with its varied configurations, storage bottle locations, objective orientation and lens selections that accommodate both right and left-handed uses. It is an ideal choice for biological and clinical research applications.
