NIKON Optiphot 200 is a research-grade light microscope made for the most detailed and precise imaging needs. It is a versatile, bright field microscope that facilitates the transmission of light through a specimen for viewing and/or documentation of specimen details. It uses a large selection of objectives to obtain magnified images from 10X to 1000X allowing for low magnification to high magnification observations. The user-friendly design of Optiphot 200 allows users to change objectives, adjust zoom settings, and rotate the specimen stage quickly and efficiently. It utilizes an infinity-corrected plan achromatic objective and a infinity-corrected Achromat Köhler Illumination that produces bright, bright-field illumination. NIKON Optiphot 200 is ideal for specimen photographs in both reflected light and fluorescent light as well. Its two-stage brightfield condenser with a plane-concave mirror allows the user to easily change the condenser settings while measuring beams of light at varying angles to the specimen. The four-position condenser N.A. 0.9 slider allows the user to evaluate specimens in the highest resolution. The microscope also includes an incident light light source that can be adjusted from 0-100 klux, giving the user the ability to modify their samples accordingly. Furthermore, the built-in temperature control system enables samples to be heated or cooled depending on the requirements of the experiment at hand. Optiphot 200 is an ergonomic microscope, with a comfortable slant inclination, a head rest, and a rubber-coated, fine-focusing knob facilitating long-duration observation. Additionally, for purposes of image acquisition, a variety of different accessories including cameras, eyepieces, image processing software, phototubes, and objectives are available.
