OLYMPUS BH3 is an upright microscope designed for use in scientific research and industrial applications. It is built on a cast aluminum base with a high-precision mechanical stage equipment. This allows for precise positioning and manipulation of specimens in multiple axes. The optical system consists of three infinity optical corrected, aspheric lenses with different zoom magnifications. The light source is provided by both an upper incident illumination unit and a lower transmitted light machine. Both type of illumination can be used in combination for optimum image contrast and detail. The objectives provided for BH3 are high numerical aperture, high-quality plan achromats and plan fluorites. Various accessories such as phase-slider dichroic filter cubes, GBurr wheels, and color filter wheels are also available for this microscope. The ergonomic design allows the user to find a comfortable posture and operate the microscope easily. OLYMPUS BH3 provides a large variety of imaging capabilities. The zoom range is 4.3x to 110x. The Numerical Aperture (NA) provided is 0.1 to 0.95, while the working distance is 4mm to 11mm. This results in a magnification range of 35x to 2000x. The observation mode also enables observation in polarized light, phase contrast, brightfield, darkfield and DIC. The digital imaging capabilities provided by the camera are excellent. It can capture images with a resolution of up to 8.3 MP at a maximum frame rate of 30 frames per second (fps). BH3 is a versatile microscope that is suitable for viewing a wide range of specimens from industrial to biological applications. Its robust performance and excellent optical capabilities make it an ideal choice for any laboratory. The high-quality images taken with this instrument ensure accurate results.
