SONOSCAN AW Series is a non-destructive acoustic microscope which uses ultrasonic waves to image a sample's internal structure. This type of microscope is frequently used in the microelectronics, materials science, and biomedical research industries for its exceptional resolution and detail. AW Series operates under the "contact mode" technique, in which the substrate is placed in a transducer and pressed into the sample surface. The transducer then emits focused ultrasound waves into the sample and then receives and records the echoes bouncing off the subsurface layers of the sample. SONOSCAN AW Series imaging system is able to take ultra-detailed images that measure up to 25,000 points per inch (ppi), far surpassing the resolution of conventional optical microscopes. This resolution allows for highly accurate imaging of even extremely small and complex samples. To view the images taken from AW Series microscope, a large-screen monitor is used. SONOSCAN AW Series monitor has multiple inputs and outputs, and supports grayscale and amplitude (logarithmic) viewing. A variety of automated tools are also available to simplify the process of sorting and analyzing data. AW Series microscope has a simple and intuitive user interface, designed for ease of use and rapid set up. With its high resolution and flexible user interface, SONOSCAN AW Series is one of the most versatile acoustic microscopes available on the market today. Using this microscope, researchers can gain insights into the internal structure of materials with unprecedented detail. From fatigue and failure analysis, to defect characterization, AW Series helps scientists observe and analyze materials on a microscopic level.
