NIKON XY-5i Optical Comparator is a versatile, accurate, and easy-to-use instrument for the measurements of straightness, flatness, roundness, angularity, taper and other characteristics of machined parts and components. Designed to produce highly precise measurements and improved productivity, XY-5i is equipped with a large, X-Y table and a variable incidence angle feature for a wide range of measurement applications. Its 5.2-inch diameter screen displays shadow images which can be used to determine tolerances and confirm the strict measurement accuracy required in the industrial environment. NIKON XY-5i has a very wide measuring range of up to 0.20" × 0.50" with a 0.00004-inch precision. XY-5i is fitted with a high resolution digital camera, which provides an image of the part under test on the built-in LCD display.
