BLUE M BI-16F-1 furnace is a high-performance, lab-sized convective heat treat furnace. It features a low-pressure drop design for increased temperature uniformity and efficiency. With an insulated chamber measuring 14"x14"x18" the furnace is designed to maintain consistent temperatures for a wide range of alloy heat treatment applications. BI-16F-1 is constructed using an aluminized steel exterior and includes recirculating fan blades designed to maximize air flow efficiency. Its flexible touch-screen programmable controller allows temperature control up to 1700°F and features built-in memory that allows pre-programmed settings and data logging. It also includes a 6 foot power cord and can be used with either a standard 15-amp outlet or 220V outlet, making the furnace suitable for use in most labs. The furnace operates by utilizing an off-the-shelf Type K thermocouple to provide accurate temperature readings, with a maximum deviation of ±2° F. A jam-proof thermal cutoff switch is utilized as a safety measure for over-temperature conditions, to prevent damage to the furnace or other equipment in the area. The furnace also has two heating elements with an average bulb life of 5000 hours to ensure consistent performance over a long service period.
