DESPATCH PBC2-16 is a manually operated box furnace and oven. Its design is intended to provide efficient and reliable performance that is user friendly and economical. It is designed for general-purpose heating and curing, thermal degreasing, soldering and preheating of assemblies or components. DESPATCH PBC-216 box furnace has a maximum operating temperature of 1650ºF (899ºC). The 15.25" × 21.63" × 18.25" (387mm × 548mm × 464mm) rectangular work chamber is constructed of durable 2" (50mm) thick Type 304 stainless steel insulated walls. Robust heating elements are located both on the bottom and sides of the chamber and are constructed of Molybdenum Disilicide, which provides long element life. The heating elements are secured inside the chamber by heavy duty stainless steel support brackets. PBC 2-16 furnace has an integrated digital temperature controller. This controller is used to regulate and maintain process temperatures during operations. The controller can be programmed to temperatures as low as 600°F (316°C) and up to 1650°F (899°C). The controller features a high-temperature alarm, ramp and soak programmable capability, a large digital display, and 10 user programs. The control panel also has a manual override for power off protection in the event of unexpected power failure. The power on indicator shows that the unit is securely plugged in and the manual override will remain off until power is restored. In addition, PBC-216 box furnace has built in safety features such as an over-temperature safety cut-off. If the temperature of the chamber exceeds the maximum set point, the system will shut off the heating elements with an audible alarm. An adjustable timer is provided for automatic shut-off of the heating elements at the end of the process.
