RCH 5604 is a high temperature oven / furnace, specifically designed to reach exceptionally high temperatures within a small space. With a temperature range of up to 2000°C (minus 200°C to plus 2000°C), it is well suited to a wide range of applications including metals melting, sintering, heat treating, glazing, ceramics firing, pre-heating and alloy making. The oven is a tilting type, contained within a heavy duty casing and frame. The walls of the oven are heavily insulated with mica and alumina fibreglass to ensure heat does not escape the chamber. A motorized geared mechanism tilts the oven to varying angles with a range of 0° to 90°. The heating elements are two Kanthal Super A1 coils located at the top, available in 3 different resistances. The very large oven interior provides spacious room for large quantity loadings due to its generous 540 litre capacity and 1300mm vertical load space. 5604 is also equipped with an adjustable air supply system which enables the rate of oxidation to be controlled. The door of RCH 5604 is double-walled and fitted with thermally rated glass which allows the operator to view the interior of the oven during operation. The door also features an air lock system to minimise heat loss. The oven is internally divided by removable shelves and also incorporates a tubular element for uniform distribution of heat. Internally the oven is controlled through an advanced logic processing unit and digital temperature controller. The thermocouple maintains consistent temperatures and the fan ensures uniform temperature distribution throughout the oven.
