NIHON GARTER NCS-1600IV is a complete PC board assembly and manufacturing equipment designed for high speed, high precision assembly and manufacturing of industrial circuit boards. It features a combination of 12-screw head-routing/routing/smt, nozzle/pick-and-place technologies, two-step curving/bending/escutcheon and automatic soldering/inspection functions, providing the highest quality circuit boards. The system is equipped with the latest processors and hardware to provide advanced assembly and manufacturing options. For example, a powerful CNC drilling unit (up to 12000rpm) ensures precise cutting and drilling operations, while the 3D image processing machine enables high precision measurements and inspection for surface mount technology (SMT) components. The tool also offers an automatic solder paste inspection (ASPI) function for accurate detection of incorrect placement of paste on pads. NCS-1600IV also enables comprehensive placement accuracy testing and component level inspection. This includes an in-line inspection asset for on- the-spot measurement of the gap between components and PCBs. In addition, a secondary inspection model is able to detect more subtle defects such as misprinted characters and line width. Furthermore, the solder-paste printing accuracy can be checked and the printed circuit board's solder site profiles verified using the Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) equipment. In order to provide efficient operation, the system has an integrated Advanced Optimal Placement Technology (AOPT) which optimizes placement of components on the printed circuit board.
