NORDSON / ASYMTEK C 740 is a fully automated, high-performance surface mount technology (SMT) and Pick & Place component placement equipment designed for PC board assembly. This system is capable of placing components on both single-sided and double-sided boards, including both SMD and through-hole components. NORDSON C 740 features high-velocity linear motors that drive X-Y axis movement with precision control for a maximum velocity of 1.7 metres per second, and incredibly accurate placement accuracy. The unit provides up to 4 independently operating heads for up to 8 nozzles per head, along with a 2- or 4-position vibrating tool mounted on a gantry for component sorting and orientation. With each of the 4 heads capable of mounting 8 nozzles, it is possible to mount a combined total of 32 nozzles in the machine.
