QUAD IVC 68 is a PC board assembly and manufacturing equipment whose core technology is based on a proven design platform used in the electronics industry for over 30 years. It is designed for maximum reliability and flexibility for the user, and consists of a fully automated manufacturing line that requires minimal operator intervention. IVC 68 utilizes a 4-station, modular configuration that allows for the production of single printed circuit boards (PCBs) or multiple board assemblies. The four stages comprise of a Print, Mount, Image and Conform (PMIC) stations, with each of these stations able to perform a variety of tasks. The secondary PMIC stations, namely, the mount and image station, can also be equipped with the optional Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) module. This module senses any discrepancies found in completed boards and verifies that they meet spec. The Print Station utilizes trace photolithography technology with solder masking capabilities to print on single or multiple board layers using environmentally safe chemicals and fluxes. The Mount Station is then the key tool for placing components onto the board, using a roboticized component pick-and-place system. This unit is capable of handling all of the industry standard components, as well as special components, and has the ability to store up to 12 component types. The Image Station, equipped with the optional AOI module, is a significant advancement in the assembly process. This station utilizes printed circuit board imaging software which is capable of recognizing all shapes and sizes of components, as well as all lines, pads, and vias on the board. Any discrepancies between the components are quickly identified and any necessary corrections can be made before the board is further processed. Finally, the Conform Station is the assembly line's sealer, as it verifies the component placement, soldering quality, visual inspections, and dimensional correctness of the board. Once all the data has been collected, a Report will be generated and any necessary adjustments can be made. Overall, QUAD IVC 68 can deliver high quality and efficient printed circuit board assemblies at a fraction of the cost of traditional manufacturing methods. Its automated machine supports even the most intricate designs and high volume production runs with ease, and is sure to deliver a cost-effective, time-efficient, and reliable product.
