QUAD IVC is a pc board assembly and manufacturing equipment. It is designed to automate and streamline the manufacturing process for printed circuit boards. This system offers several different parts feeding options, such as a screw feeder, vibratory bowl feeder or a belt conveyor. It also utilizes a variety of pick and place technologies, allowing for faster part loading and alignment. The machine can handle multiple types of components, ranging from small, high-density chip components to larger leaded components. It is also capable of applying solder paste, inspection and reflow soldering. The machine's integrated vacuum pickup provides precise component positioning, ensuring that components are placed with accuracy and reliability. It also contains two x-y leadscrews that allow for the precision placement of components. This unit is also capable of code-programming, which allows for different types of board construction styles. It supports multiple types of code languages for programming including DIN, LOTUS and Microsoft Excel. For component printing, QUAD IV C utilizes both inkjet and silk-screen printing technologies. The inkjet printing machine produces high-resolution results with up to 8 million individual drops per second. On the other hand, silk-screen printing allows for printing designs with greater complexity onto the boards. During both printing processes, the machine also applies a wide range of photoresist solutions, including liquid photo-imageable (LPIM) and dry film photoresist (DFP). IV-C also includes 3-D offline programming capabilities. This feature enables operators to create virtual models of circuits and view them from any angle. The 3-D simulations allow for shorter lead times for board assembly as it eliminates the need for trial and error. This tool also includes several quality control mechanisms. These include electron microscopes, high-accuracy microscopes and an automated optical inspection asset. The electron microscope can detect defects in components as small as 5um. The high-accuracy microscope can be used to inspect micro-level solder joints. Finally, the automated optical inspection model can detect surface mount defects, empty or misaligned components, and shorts or opens in the printed circuit board. To round it out, QUAD IV-C offers high-speed indexing and meets international safety certifications. With its modular design and robust construction, IV C offers excellent ROI, improved manufacturing efficiency and increased part quality.
