Siplace HF3 features an intuitive touchscreen user interface and uses the Windows 7 operating system, making it easy to learn and navigate. It is equipped with 16 placement lanes that can be individually configured to process components of varying sizes and types. The placement unit utilizes a combination of three different gantries: one with two 6TH axes for bulk placement of 01005 components, one with four 8TH axes for pick-and-place of 12/16 mm components, and a soldering gantry for larger BGA or QFP components. Additionally, it features a dual camera machine with up to 3.5 µm accuracy for more precise placements. It can also be connected to external cameras to provide additional placement accuracy. SIPLACE HF/3 also features a variety of feeder interfaces to accommodate many different tape, tray and carrier-based components, as well as a dynamic flexible carrier solution for varied components. This allows users to set up the tool for specific requirements quickly and easily. SIEMENS Siplace HF3 is equipped with a standard test asset as well as an integrated 3D centroid measurement station. Additionally, it includes a built-in barcode reader and several different vision tools to inspect parts and boards before placement. Assemblies are fed from a stacker on the integrated batching unit which can hold up to 500 boards per run.
