The tool is capable of detailed WIP and order related tracking, offering a proven and consistent approach to rework, repair, and replacement. The software quickly and easily ties into both the physical assembly process and downstream automation, like asset design and model test set up. The flexibility of the device allows for custom interconnects and board geometries as well as numerous configuration possibilities. The onboard sensors and programmable logic devices (PLDs) used in the equipment are designed to detect and respond accurately to a wide breadth of signals, with support for a variety of feedback mechanisms from optical/proximity sensors, accelerometers, encoders and thermocouples. The system works with an array of network components and supports multiple communication protocols, allowing communications between the unit's various subsystems and third-party devices. Its onboard PC controller offers users the ability to program and modify the machine, either through its own interface or a third-party software program. The controller is designed to receive component data from external systems such as factory automation systems and factory supervisory systems.
