The system is composed of three main components; TRI assembly line, the auto loader, and the inline vision inspection unit. The machine is designed with advanced features such as automated production control, precise part handling, custom programming, and high-speed surface mount assembly. TRI assembly line is comprised of various equipment including a pick & place machine, a reflow oven, and a wave solder machine. The pick & place machine is designed to move components accurately from a parts feeder to boards. Once the components are placed on the boards, they are transferred to the reflow oven to be soldered. The reflow oven increases the reliability of the assembly by applying controlled heat for a set amount of time to accomplish a successful solder joint. The wave solder machine applies solder to both sides of the board to create connections. Finally, after the boards have been covered with solder, they are sent through an inline vision inspection tool to ensure accuracy of the assembly. The auto loader is responsible for loading multiple PCBs into the assembly line.
