UNIVERSAL Feeders for GSM is an advanced pc board assembly and manufacturing equipment designed to meet the needs of the most demanding electronics production environment. This all-in-one machine combines advanced components, innovative design and sophisticated software for the manufacture of pc board assemblies. UNIVERSAL Feeders system includes both machine and computer components, working together to consistently reproduce superior product quality, and reduce cycle times. The machine housing contains a central processing unit (CPU), synchronized by a high speed data bus, as well as a large storage area. This ensures that the large quantity of program files required to run a complex manufacturing program are readily available. In addition to the high performance CPU, the machine is equipped with an automated optoelectronic feeder mechanism that is capable of picking components from a wide variety of media. Unique X/Y/Z-axis motion systems are synchronized by linear motors, and provide the most precise component alignment and accurate component placement. The Feeders also feature a parts identification unit that significantly increases total assembly accuracy. The computerized machine, running theUSERCON Operating Tool and a Visual Machine Control Interface, provides all necessary functions to configure, manage and control any pc board assembly process. This allows operators to monitor, improve and master each step of the assembly process in real time, directly from the machine controls. The Feeders are also compatible with industry standard CAD/CAM tools such as the auto routing package GerbView. CAD/CAM data can then be translated to the program memory of the Feeders. The USERCON GUI and terminal software allow users to program their own parts feeders, or select a default feeder from the library. In combination with other aspects of electronics manufacturing such as part placement and soldering, Feeders for GSM are designed to maximize production quality and overall efficiency.
