VIEW ENGINEERING / GENERAL SCANNING 8100 PC Board Assembly and Manufacturing Equipment is one of the most sophisticated solutions for rapid and accurate automated assembly of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) components. It features a powerful Vision Positioning System (VPS) with advanced algorithms for image acquisition and handling which provides unparalleled precision for the placement of components with up to 0.4mm accuracy and speed of up to 100 parts per minute. VIEW ENGINEERING 8100 offers three primary types of components for assembly: surface mount, through-hole and mechanical. The surface mount components are placed onto a carrier tape and then placed into the Unit Handling Module (UHM). The integrated vision unit captures images of the components and then uses this data to control the placement heads, while the control unit processes the placement data and forwards commands to the placement heads. The through-hole components are typically mounted in a continuous strip and loaded into the magazine. The Vision Machine then captures an image and the Placement Unit moves the components into place. The mechanical components, such as switches and LEDs, are placed manually or by a separate servo head. GENERAL SCANNING 8100 also features various options for material handling, such as vacuum pumps and frames, enabling the tool to handle different materials with different aspects, such as lead-free solders. The Vision Asset offers two separate optical systems depending on the type of components being placed, and offers a choice of two algorithms for its adaptive vision positioning model (AVPS). One algorithm focuses on targeted placement accuracy, while the other is designed for increased speed and accuracy of vision inspection. It also offers an advanced 3D ToF (Time of Flight) camera which provides real-time feedback on the exact height and position of components. 8100 equipment also uses a proprietary software called EDC (Error Detection Code) which can detect any misfeeds, positioning errors, and incorrect components on the assembly line. The system is programmed to pause the line and alert the operator when it detects any errors and send the operator a message with the exact error code and description. This ensures the highest quality of product throughout the entire manufacturing process. In conclusion, VIEW ENGINEERING / GENERAL SCANNING 8100 is one of the most advanced automated assembly systems on the market, offering reliable and precise components placement, as well as detailed feedback on misfeeds, positioning errors, and incorrect components placement. With its advanced software tools, high-speed material handling, and accurate vision positioning unit, VIEW ENGINEERING 8100 provides one of the most reliable and advanced assembly solutions for your PCB production needs.
