CASCADE MICROTECH / ALESSI REL 5000 probe station is a high-performance, cost-effective production-oriented prober for microelectronics applications. It supports a wide range of wafer sizes from 2" to 8", and is designed to provide automated, precise test and measurement capabilities with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability. The non-contact, automated prober is equipped with a high-resolution optical metrology equipment for probing and testing of small test substrates. The prober is fitted with a motion control system that provides exact point-to-point control and allows for motorized accurate and repeatable positioning of the substrate within the probe head. The prober is also equipped with a software-controlled automated X-Y-Z scanning mechanism and a Stage Stop feature for further accuracy of the test results. The prober is capable of processing up to eight wafers simultaneously and features a built-in lift mechanism for easy placement and removal of wafers. ALESSI REL 5000 prober is equipped with up to four probe arms and optional extended range probes. The probe arms are designed with pre-aligned Probe Tips which are individually adjustable, ensuring fast and accurate probing. The prober also comes with a wafer handling unit, allowing for faster exchange of wafers and higher throughput. To ensure accuracy and repeatability of the test results, the prober is fitted with a closed loop laser machine and closed loop video tool. The laser asset detects any misalignments on the wafer surface and compensates them automatically during the probing cycle. The laser model also ensures consistent coordinate alignment of the probe tip - avoiding wafer deformation, improving test accuracy and providing better stage reliability. CASCADE MICROTECH REL 5000 prober also comes with an advanced PIPS (Positioning and Inspection Platform Equipment), which is used to move the wafer across different zones of the prober, while the built-in video camera inspects the wafer and identifies any defects. REL 5000 prober provides extensive capabilities for microelectronic production and test applications and is suited for a wide variety of microelectronic applications.
