ELECTROGLAS / EG 2080, released by EG Technologies, is a semiconductor electronics industry prober with a 5-axis motion equipment. It has both unidirectional on-the-fly scanning and high-speed retrace capability. This ensures high-performance wafer probing results with detailed control in all directions. The prober's options for high-resolution wafer probing include a 600 um and 950 um vertical probing range with resolutions to 1 nm. For probing, the system features a horizontal field of view as small as 120 um. This helps provide the highest resolution of any prober on the market, suitable for probing the finest features on a wafer's surface. The probe card electrical interface is designed for high-speed probing and measurement, with a variety of electrical connection options, such as C and M type probes and spring contacts. This allows for simultaneous probing and operation through a single connector. EG 2080 also provides options for automated and manual adjustment to set the electrical contact force. ELECTROGLAS EG2080 unit is completely automated, with power supply, motor control, and motion control systems all managed by ELECTROGLAS Work Station. This helps automate all test operations including automatic self-test, alignment, contact, and retraction. The machine also includes probe pogo maintenance and other features. The calibrated and controlled motion systems offer a 5-axis motion range of up to 380 mm, with resolutions of 10 nm in X and Y, 50 um in Z, and adjustable in increments of 0.1 micron in rotation. In addition, the tool integrates a Digital Electron Beam (DEB) asset for unparalleled accuracy in critical dimension (CD) measurements. The component combination allows for control, flexibility, and scalability, making ELECTROGLAS 2080 ideal for a variety of wafer probing and process development needs. The prober is built to an aviation grade, with robust designs and materials for optimal performance in tough production environments, ensuring accuracy and reliable data acquisition.
