ALCATEL / ADIXEN / PFEIFFER 2002 is a rotary vane pump designed for the pumping of light gases in industrial and laboratory applications. The pump is compact and low noise, making it suitable for installation in a variety of environments. It is made of a durable aluminium alloy and offers a range of integrated safety features. ADIXEN 2002 operates in a two-stage rotary vane configuration, consisting of a first stage working commonly called a booster stage. This stage intakes atmospheric air and directs it through a booster rotor, which compresses the air and creates a conversion of rotational velocity of the vane into pressure. This pressure is transferred to a second stage impeller, producing a compression of the gas. ALCATEL 2002 has a maximum operating pressure of 33mbar (0.49psi) and ultimate pressure of 1.5 x 10 Y6 mbar (2.2 x 10 Y7 psi). This is achieved through a combination of a lightweight alloy rotor assembly, precision machined cavity and shaft seals and a robust steel construction. Pressure control is easily adjusted via the control knob on the front of the unit. PFEIFFER 2002 is fitted with standard overload protection that will automatically shut off the power when the unit is overloaded. To ensure safe operation, the unit is also equipped with vacuum integrity protection that will immediately shut off the power if there is a power failure or vacuum leak. 2002 is also fitted with gas ballast controls to increase the pump's ultimate vacuum, making it suitable for pumping of moisture-laden air particles.
