EDWARDS QDP40 is a diaphragm pump and a member of EDWARDS QDP Series, specifically designed for High Vacuum applications with low gas loadings in the range of 10-4 to 10-5 Torr. This lightly shrouded, single stage, direct-drive pump offers excellent base vacuum performance. It is capable of creating a cumulative pumping speed of over 13,000 l/s and a base vacuum of 10-4 Torr after just 1 minute of pumping. It is recommended for use in a variety of applications including the evacuation of thin and difficult-to-evacuate coatings, medical evaluation of rubbers or other elastomers, and degassing of intermediate and high vacuum processes. EDWARDS QDP 40 is powered by a compact IEC motor which offers exceptional efficiency. This pump is designed to provide low bearing temperatures, minimal vibration levels, and extremely quiet operation. Additionally, it incorporates dynamic balancing and anti-synchronous motor running, which further reduces vibration levels. The unit features a range of accessories designed to facilitate operation, such as speed control, gas ballasting, and inlet filters. The IEC connector and pressure gauge make it easy to interface with and monitor the pump. The Pump is manufactured from a durable aluminum alloy, and its integrated bearing and support system are sealed and thermally insulated in order to further minimize heat transfer.
