EDWARDS QDP80 is a high vacuum roughing pump designed for use with high-vacuum chambers. It features a slow-rotating, direct-drive motor that is connected to a single-stage, oil-lubricated mechanical booster pump. The design eliminates the need for the rotor and vanes commonly found in older-style vacuum pumps which allow higher flow and require less maintenance. EDWARDS QDP-80 uses an advanced oil-flushing equipment to separate the oil from the incoming gas flow and return it to the pump sump before being drawn into the compression chamber.
