PFEIFFER / BALZERS TMH 1601 is an Enviroseal dry-running rotary vane pump designed to move relatively small amounts of gas at moderate vacuum. It is an all-metal design featuring a single-ended, two-valve vane pump head containing an oil-free, single-stage eccentric rotating vane. The pump head connects to the drive section of the pump via an O-ring sealed flange, which has a balanced ported design to reduce gas leakage past the seals. The drive section houses a combination bearing/seal housing, a turbine-blade bladed impeller, a timing belt drive and two bearings. The internal design of the Enviroseal ensures a dry-running, low vacuum of 7 torr/min. It also includes a one-way motor, which allows for the minimum bearing wear when operating at low speeds.
