VARIAN TV 301 is a variable-speed direct drive, diaphragm pump designed for the transfer of liquids, vapor, and gaseous materials up to 1.5 cm Hg. Vacuum and 7.0 kg/cm2 (100 psi) pressure. It is a one-piece, self-priming, direct-drive, wetted-parts-in-aluminum design with a corrosion-resistant thermoplastic coating. VARIAN TV301 is engineered to provide optimum performance in a variety of liquid-handling applications. The power-end cage is constructed of high-strength aluminum alloy. The motor is a direct-coupled, single-phase motor with a speed range of 500 to 3000 RPM. The motor is an open-drip-proof design and protected by a manual reset overload protector. TV-301 features a double-ball-type check valve assembly to protect against incorrect flow. This pressure-actuated valve is designed to fully open and ensure complete liquid-transfer throughput. The pump also features a self-aligning mechanical seal that ensures tight, leak-free operation. VARIAN TV-301 is designed for easy installation and operation. The pump can be mounted vertically or horizontally and the back end of the pump provides connections for inlet and outlet piping. Connections for vacuum and pressure sensing instruments can also be provided. An external pressure-regulating control is available to maintain a consistent, pre-set operating pressure. The pump is lightweight and portable and comes with a mechanical seal inhibitor—a corrosion inhibitor and lubricant—to protect the seal from degradation due to chemical exposure.
