This self-priming diaphragm, direct-drive, molecular-drag vacuum pump is designed to deliver robust performance in a wide range of industrial and laboratory applications. VARIAN V550 provides a higher operating vacuum and suction capabilities, this is attained through a compact yet powerful silencer and blower unit, providing improved volumetric efficient for an exhaustive range of fluids and gases. V 550 pump is made from cast iron and aluminium. The cast iron section is fitted with four (4) removable end covers, which can be dismantled as individual components for easy assembly and maintenance, as well as for more extreme applications. The aluminium-plated and moulded PVC air outlet filter system is situated directly below the end covers, providing superior filter life and improved filter performance. The inlet filter and suction filter are located on either side of the pump housing, providing a total filtration and intake system that delivers uncontaminated fluid and gas intake. V550 is fitted with an oil-free pressure regulator that maintains an atmospheric pressure of 0.1 - 0.02 mbar / 0.1 - 0.02 mbar in all operating conditions, providing an ambient air temperature of 50 ± 5°C.
