BTU Pyramax 98A NRM is an industrial reflow oven designed to effectively solder components to printed circuit boards. It has a top-loading cabinet with an 87" (2.21m) stainless-steel interior and a uniform thermal environment up to 1075°F (580°C). The preheat zone is controlled by independent top and bottom heaters, and the temperature of the four heating zones is controlled by solid-state relays. It also features a unique convection system that increases efficiency and uniformity over the entire heating cycle. The 98A is capable of processing up to 25 boards in a single pass. Pyramax 98A NRM has a built-in production controller that offers up to 50 different recipes with 50 soak time setpoints to provide maximum flexibility for different board profiles. Each recipes has its own independent setpoints for each of the four heater zones. The controller supports a selectable automatic cooling process with an optional air knife that helps facilitate rapid cooling of the boards. It also has selectable cool zone configurations and up to 50 programmable oven settings. BTU Pyramax 98A NRM is also equipped with safety mechanisms that ensure proper operation. For starters, it is UL-listed and comes with an INSECT insulation integrity testing system that verifies the insulation resistance of the heating elements. Additionally, it comes with an optional batch or window timer that automatically triggers audible alarms if the preheat, soak, or cool zones fall outside preset parameters.
