ERSA Hotflow 2/20 is a reflow oven designed for precision soldering of printed circuit boards (PCBs). It features two independent hot zone chambers that allow users to control the temperature of the machine for optimal reflow soldering. Each chamber of ERSA Hotflow 2/20 is lined with ceramic insulation to maintain thermal stability from start to finish. Inside each chamber is a high performance high speed convection blower which distributes the thermal energy evenly over the PCB so that no circuit components are damaged from overheating. The machine also features a touch screen control with automated profiles that allow the user to input their exact requirements for a particular PCB and have the oven adjust to the optimum configuration. The Hotflow 2/20 is particularly suitable for lead-free soldering and has a maximum operating temperature of 320°C (608°F) with a preheating zone available up to 205°C (401°F). The thermal profile can also be monitored, adjusted and controlled via the touch screen control, giving the user full control over the reflow process. It is also noted for its accuracy, with two-thirds of a degree Celsius accuracy, making it suitable for use on high density and fine pitch PCBs, as well as larger boards. For safety, ERSA Hotflow 2/20 has a fail-safe system which shuts down the system should an alarm be detected such as a failed temperature sensor or an overheating condition. Other safety features include a low-overvoltage protection circuit, exhaust temperature detection, current detection and an earth connection. Additional safety features include ATS (Automatic Temperature Shutdown), ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection and an in-built PTC thermistor. ERSA Hotflow 2/20 is an excellent all-round reflow oven that is suitable for a wide range of PCBs from longer boards to denser and finer-pitch components.
