EOS EOSINT M280 is a high-performance 3D printing system for ELI (Electron Beam Melting) process using metal powder injection. It is equipped with a laser beam generator, a process chamber, and an extractor. M280 is a large format 3D printer capable of handling high part volumes. The printer has a maximum part volume of 280 mm x 280mm x 305mm (XYZ). EOS EOSINT M280 is operated through a touchscreen, making it easy to operate and navigate. The printing process consists of melting the powder injector with an electron beam. The resulting pool of molten powder is then selectively added in layers to form the desired product. This process is repeated for each layer until the finished part is finished. The build platform is heated for efficient stack and cure cycling and is equipped with a gas-tight chamber for inert gas (argon) delivery. The printer is also equipped with a nitrogen cold storage unit for media storage and curing, and a copper heat exchanger for temperature control. The printer has a wide range of material options, such as titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and cobalt chrome alloys, among others.
